The average person produces a new layer of skin every two to four weeks, and as it does so, the outer dead layers of skin on the surface flake and shed, revealing nice new fresh skin underneath.
However, the flaky, dry skin often sits on top of the fresh skin blocking pores and hampering the cleansing of toxins, the absorption of nutrients, hydration and beauty.
A build up of dead skin cells causes a rough and dull appearance. Exfoliating the top layers of dehydrated cells promotes a youthful, glowing skin.
